Report by Y-BANH, March 2011

This was a recent trip in the jungle area.

It was the beginning of the first rain in the villages of Kon Ko Tuh, and Kon Ju.

We had been going to Kon Ju village, which is 35km from Kon tum, then trekking another 10km in the thick jungle for 2 and ½ hours.

As we walked we met Y Xuoi with her family, she was a widow for 10 year. Y Xuoi has two little son of 10 and 14 who have never been to school. What they know is catching birds, trapping, and helping their mommy working on the field.

We can assist in many ways in this village, they are really poor.

We stayed her house called "dam" for the night, then we met her daughter in law who has goiter for long time without any treatment. She has no money to go to hospital. Can we help this poor lady to send her to hospital?

Coming back to village there is a child with a cleft palate. Is there any help here for this child?
